Highlights of recent leading transactions

• Acting for the Danish bank, Roskilde Bank which was acquired by the Danish State in the first bankruptcy of a Danish Bank in many years.
• Acting for Forstædernes Bank, the 7th largest Danish bank which was acquired under a public takeover by Nykredit Bank.
• Acting for the Danish Central Bank in relation to a loan to EBH Bank, a mid sized Danish bank, and subsequently acting for the Danish state owned winding up company in relation to EBH Bank, in the first winding up of a Danish bank under the new Financial Stability Act, which was introduced as a result of the financial crisis.
• Advised Carlsberg Breweries A/S in relation with the EUR 5.7 billion financing of Carlsberg's part of the acquisition costs of Scottish and Newcastle.
• Acted for FIH Erhvervsbank A/S in relation to the establishment of FIH Kapital Bank A/S, a subsidiary used to acquire a loan portfolio of DKK 15 billion through a loan from the Danish pension fund ATP.
• Acted for Danske Bank A/S on the EUR 15 billion covered bond programme – the first ever issue of covered bonds under Danish law which featured cover pools comprising properties in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
