A step ahead
New Danish legislation requires that from 1 January 2009, major Danish businesses must detail CSR efforts in their annual reports. Primarily based on the Danish government's CSR Action Plan put together in May 2008, the legislation recommends that businesses adopt the internationally recognised framework known as the United Nations Global Compact initiative. Specifically, businesses are encouraged to adopt the Global Compact’s ten principles of social responsibility.
