Capital Markets Group

We advise on all matters of company and capital markets laws which are relevant to companies and securities listed on a stock exchange or other regulated market (e.g. First North). Whilst the Danish markets remain our primary focus, we are regularly involved in foreign market transactions as well.

Commercial insight

The group advises leading Danish and foreign banks, listed companies, including many OMX C20 as well as mid- and small cap companies. It has a pre eminent position in the Danish market having acted on most major capital market transactions in Denmark in the last ten years.

This has provided us with extensive practical experience in this area which includes having close working relations to the authorities involved. We can offer, therefore, not only highly specialised legal advice, but also – just as importantly – commercial insight, sparring and a practical ‘hands on’ approach to problem solving.

What others say about us

Whilts we have acted on many of the cutting edge capital markets transactions in Denmark, our prime objective is to provide the best commercial and viable solutions for our clients.

Or, as the Chambers Europe directory puts it in its recommendation of Kromann Reumert’s capital markets group:

“Kromann Reumert is one of Denmark's most consistently outstanding law firms across all practice areas, and capital markets is no exception. The practice is substantial in size, with 14 partners and 38 associates who spend a substantial proportion of their time on capital markets transactions …". Read more.

The majority of lawyers in the group have considerable international experience, whether obtained through having English or American university degrees, or having worked with international law firms or corporations outside of Denmark. This ensures that we are up to date on developments in the world’s financial centres.

Cooperation across teams for optimum results

To Kromann Reumert, teamwork is more than a statement. It is applied actively in all of our assignments, and we constantly work to promote and increase knowledge sharing in all areas among our 320 lawyers.

This goal is boosted by the principle of equal sharing applied in the firm’s partnership, which means all partners have a shared interest, also economically, in working together and making sure that client assignments are handled always by the most competent person.

The capital markets group cooperates most frequently with our financing, commercial law, M&A and tax law groups, but can also draw on the expertise of other groups, e.g. employment and competition law, depending on the type of case.

This will ensure that every legal aspect of relevance to the transaction is covered and presented to the client in firstclass and seamlessly integrated advice.
