Kromann Reumert's Second Global Compact Report

Kromann Reumert sets new CSR objectives.

In 2008, Kromann Reumert was the first Danish law firm to join the UN Global Compact, the international initiative promoting corporate social responsibility (CSR). Kromann Reumert has now made its second Global Compact report.

Ambition to promote CSR

- "In our second Global Compact membership year, we have continued the development of our climate initiatives and our pro bono partnerships which were initiated in our first year," says Sille Stener, Director Corporate Strategy & Branding. She continues:

- "We have become even more aware of the importance of focusing efforts on CSR. That is why we have a stated ambition of embracing responsibility for promoting the Global Compact and CSR. During the next few years, we intend to develop a practical CSR tool to be used by Kromann Reumert's lawyers within the context of their professional duties as members of corporate boards of directors."

On 8 July 2011, Kromann Reumert will hold a seminar for members of the boards of directors  of the organisations that are Kromann Reumert's pro bono partners and other interested charitable institutions. The seminar will focus on the primary obligations and liabilities of members of boards of directors and provide insight into why good corporate governance is of relevance to charitable institutions.

Support for Global Compact

- "I am proud of the progress we are making within CSR as a firm. It is a continuing process as we can always improve. Our employees have shown strong commitment to CSR and the Global Compact, and Kromann Reumert would never have made such progress in the CSR area without our employees' interest and willingness to contribute," concludes Sille.
