An unannounced dawn raid - what do you do?

In the event of an unannounced dawn raid, it is important to carefully observe the following guidelines (in the following order):
- Phone the internal contact person and inform him/her of the inspection.

- Accompany the officials to a free conference room. Check their ID and authority (ID card and decision/order). Immediately e-mail a scanned copy of the decision/order to your external legal advisor.
- Be sure to establish contact between the investigator and your external legal advisor in order that they can discuss the next steps.
