Kromann Reumert and HelloScience join forces to focus on the 17 UN Global Goals

The background for the collaboration between Kromann Reumert and HelloScience is the wish to contribute to a better and more sustainable world.

HelloScience is an open innovation platform initiated by Novozymes focusing on achieving UN's 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development. As part of the collaboration, Kromann Reumert will provide legal advice to entrepreneurs of the HelloScience Community, thereby contributing to ensuring that their bright ideas may be put into practice and hopefully solve the global environmental and climate problems.

Cooperation and collaboration through HelloScience enable different stakeholders to align and contribute their own specific competences towards a shared aim of helping achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals,” says Anuj Dhariwal, Director, Head of Scouting and Venturing at Novozymes, and adds: “As HelloScience continues to grow, we are very pleased that Kromann Reumert will be able to help support members of its Community”.

HelloScience is connecting complementary partners for the purpose of helping start-ups that have a large potential within the 17 Global Goals. In this way the creative ideas of the entrepreneurs are accompanied by valuable experience resulting in solution-oriented projects. By way of example, Grundfos and Novozymes have together with Climate-KIC and HelloScience initiated a project with engineers in Bangalore to solve the problem of clean drinking water (Global Goal 6: clean water and sanitation).

Director at Kromann Reumert, Oliver Machholdt, says:

"We will join an already strong team behind HelloScience, whose objective is to address some of the world's most pressing climate and environmental problems. We will use our legal knowledge to provide the best possible support for the ideas to develop into sustainable solutions, so that we can jointly contribute to achieving the 17 Global Goals before 2030. We are passionate about and proud of our collaboration with HelloScience."
